being a advid anime watcher, I’m always looking for original series to bag crooked on. this is not one of them. its dreary, plain and doesnt even try. if ya looking for hardcore action with tale fight scenes, examine elsewhere. this series is unprejudiced too lame to comprehend.

I have seen alot of anime over the years, from the very early eighties to the display. I have seen capable and unpleasant anime but this series takes the bust category. While it is site in alternate history setting the storyline is a expansive mess. The characters in this series needed a bit more fleshing out, it seems liked this animation was rushed. There is no loyal outcome to the yarn, even the “un-aired” final episode was unclear. This animation needs closure in order for the viewer to determined up any confusion brought up during the viewing process. The only redeming quality this series has is the opening soundtrack, even this is not enough to effect it from it’s lack of fit and effect. I do not recommend this series!!!!!

First of all, let me interpret that the four star rating only qualifies in the genre of slightly-schlocky gore. For those of you that don’t relish this type of movie, it’s more like one star. But if you’re looking to lift the DVD and reading this review, I have a feeling you’re into this.

That being said, this is top quality when it comes to off-kilter dismay action. A unpleasant killer dressed like a cop is on the loose in Original York, killing innocent people instead of criminals. One cop lets the paper know that they deem it’s a cop gone abominable, which turns the public against the police force.

As the anxiety level escalates Bruce Campbell is framed for the slay of his wife, and becomes the lead suspect in the brutal killings. Now, only Bruce and two other cops know the chilling secret of the maniac cop, and will halt at nothing to try to conclude him.

Although there are numerous amounts of “what the…? ” sections in this film, it’s smooth mindlessly savory and Tom Atkins’ performance as a hardnose cop keeps the film tenuously grounded in reality.

If you’re into Bruce Campbell and laughable panic movies, then you can’t go sinister with Maniac Cop. If you’re at all averse to either of those, then don’t even bother thinking about it because you won’t delight in the hidden quality of such a classic as Maniac Cop.

I didn’t gain that up, thats the right tagline for this decent indecent budget 1980’s slasher flick/cop thriller. Maniac Cop has some mountainous and thrilling moments along with some cheesy and over the top death scenes and the film has a graceful top-notch b-movie cast which includes Bruce Campbell as a wrongfully accused cop named Jack Forrest framed for the kill of his wife and you might also recognise the other actors like Richard Roundtree from Shaft who plays the police commissioner along with Tom Atkins from The Fog as the detective who’s trying to solve the case and Robert Z’dar as the maniac cop Matt Cordell who kills innocent people on the streets of Current York and check out the puny cameo by Sam Raimi as a T.V. reporter wintry!. The film was about Matt Cordell an innocent cop who pissed off the outrageous people, tired of media criticism of police brutality the police commissioner ensures that Matt is tried and convicted for the supposed beatings of some really terrible guys. Once Matt is in prison he is beat up and killed by the very people he place away but he soon comes abet to life seeking vengeance and hes also killing alot of innocent people along the diagram while the police themselves are looking for the rotten person when officer Jack Forrest (Bruce Campbell) is area up and framed for the slay of his wife and the closer the investigation gets to stopping Matt, Jack gets accused of being the Maniac Cop himself and people on the streets initiate panicking not trusting any cops in uniforms.

I stale to indulge in this film alot and it was one of my favorites, the film was more recently re-released on DVD by Synapse and has plenty of extras which includes some deleted scenes and an interview with Robert Z’dar, this modern synapse release has a sterling widescreen transfer which was alot better than the previous Elite Entertainment release which I expend to have . The film was written by Larry Cohen and was directed by William Lustig who previously made Maniac, unlike that film Maniac cop was less serious than Maniac and you can exclaim that he honest wanted to accomplish a fun b-movie with less gore and violence so the film wasn’t really gory whilst Maniac was about a deranged serial killer and was quite dusky and disturbing with a dismal atmosphere, you catch a amusing death scene where a guy gets drowned in concrete by the maniac cop so don’t retract it to seriously. The film was shot in N.Y. and William Lustig gets to befriend from the tremendous locations and it does have some grand atmosphere, I have to give credit to the director for turning this into an absorbing horror/thriller film there was never a plain moment, I especially liked the car amble scene with Bruce Campbell handcuffed at the encourage of the police van and this was definetely one of his best roles so if your a Bruce fan then you should check it out. Overall this is definetely a well made film with some sterling acting and a big storyline but it doesn’t have any scares, some scenes were a bit tense while others were unprejudiced a bit ridiculous but it’s smooth worth watching objective don’t ask anything earth shattering, peep it with a group of friends and you might like it even more the sequels were immense too.

If you know nothing about Tibet, the brutal occupation of that country by the Chinese, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, then this is a respectable video. If you’re a Buddhist, a student of Buddhism, or more conversant with the topics above, then it might not be for you. The documentary is an A&E production, so it tends to be, IMHO, a bit shallow and wrong at times. The Dalai Lama is not the “king” of Tibet nor does he preside over Tibetan Buddhism in the same manner that, say, the Pope does over Roman Catholics. There is some nice footage of His Holiness as a young man, including clips from his first years as a refugee in India. A few interviews with Richard Gere, Robert Thurman, Orville Schell and others round out the footage along with a few conversations with Dalai Lama. It is always a pleasure, however, to sight the Dalai Lama so I did bask in it in spite of the critiques above. It is not what I would judge an in-depth portrait but more like a pleasant line drawing.

This 45-minute program from A&E’s “Biography” series is a edifying introduction to the Dalai Lama’s life and leadership of Tibet and to the political site of Tibet. It incorporates lively historical footage, including footage I hadn’t seen elsewhere of the Dalai Lama as a child and young man.

Naturally, the film sides with the Tibetans regarding the Chinese occupation of Tibet, but it does attempt to be unbiased. Something I learned from this film is that the Dalai Lama was initially sympathetic to some of Mao’s stated goals.

Two other beneficial videos on the Dalai Lama and Tibet are “Heart of Tibet” (available only on VHS, not DVD) and “Compassion In Exile,” both of which do a better job than this video of giving a sense of the Dalai Lama as a Buddhist and as a person.

This is one of my boyfriend’s celebrated movies and I have grown fond of it as well. It isn’t the kind of movie that has you busting out laughing, but it puts a smile on your face and leaves you pleased. The music is uplifting and the whole movie has a mellow tone, but I never considered it “boring” as some have.

I do have one state with this movie, for which the lack of information is driving me crazy:

Am I the only person in the world to inspect that there are scenes deleted from the pay channel, VHS and DVD versions? If you ogle it on basic cable there are several scenes NOT found in the “uncut” (no commercials) versions:

1) On the drive down to Florida, they have rapid food in the car, and feed the dog Archie the onion rings, who then has bad gas

2) When they are in the snide rental house the dog is continually shown chewing on the legs of the couch instead of the bones he is being offered by John Candy

3) Factual after they leave the spoiled house and the rightful owners tell with relief, the couch falls over as a result of the dog chewing on the legs (they rupture)

Does Columbia Pictures have something against this dog? I notion those scenes added to the enjoyment of the film! I have purchased and returned the VHS and DVD versions, each time inflamed to be able to glance the entire movie uncut.

If you’re reading this, powers that can, please release a special edition with ALL the scenes!!!

John Candy does an outstanding job in this movie, playing the fragment of Jack Chester, a burned out traffic controller who desperately needs a relaxing vacation. Too awful he doesn’t accumulate one!

Taking his family to Florida, he does not know the cabin he has rented is proper next door to a public meander leading to the beach.

Living in Florida, I certainly know how busy those walks can be, and that only heightened the laughter for me, as Jack had to deal with ‘walkers’ everyday, who wanted a glass of water or to employ the bathroom. Qualified Lord!

Add to that a budding teenage daughter, a neighbor who wants to display off her fresh ‘breasts’ and rich jerks who believe they fill the Florida beaches (oh yes,I have seen them as well) .
This all adds up to a large movie, one that you will discover time and time again. Outstanding!

Shrek has grossed over 260 million in the theaters (as of Aug. 14, 2001) . That’s within .05% of the top grossing animation of all times, Toy Sage (@ 262 million) . Shrek is a vast 3D movie. The 3D computer animation is second, only to Final Fantasy. The narrative is more piquant than what I expected. The voices were well cast and performed. The whole film awsome. I’m certain you’re aware of that or you wouldn’t be reading this now. It has both adult (smart adult) and kids humor. The writers plagerized honest about everyone and it was hilarious. Okay, now for the DVD. This DVD is created as 2 parts. One disc is aimed for the kids and the format is “beefy Cover” (pan & scan) and includes 17 DVD-ROM games. The other disc is geared more for adults and is letterbox formatted. Both discs have 3 minutes of extended ending that was never scene in the theatrical release. There’s ‘Making Of’ and ‘Behind The Scenes’. It encludes 11 hours of extras. There are also running commentaries. This DVD will actually allow you to replace a charector’s inform with you occupy with “Sherk’s Revoice Studio” effects. There are 15 minutes of newly enthralling footage specifically for the DVD interactive menues.. . . . . Shall I go on? . . . There is a sticker on EVERY box saying it’s a winner. Each box has eligebility to bag a prize, from a Kia car to X-Box game consoles to Baskin Robins Ice cream. So, we have a astonishing movie, the most massive extras features ever on a DVD, and free give-aways. And yould be nuts not to prefer advantage of this offer.

Sitting in the theater, I watched my 6 1/2 year frail nephew eat up the lustrous colors and classic eye gags, while I watched my 25 year feeble fiancee almost spill his popcorn laughing at the accurate same joke. What I really liked about this movies was that duality-that one status of lines can be almost making me wet my pants while the more innocent version is keeping the dinky guys and gals glued to the hide. I found it to be reminiscent of the first Toy Epic and the underlying message is easy for kids of all shapes and sizes to understand without being so cookie cutter sweet and sappy. Procure for the huge green guy. I’d pick him home.

Just received this DVD today and like Mickey’s Sizable Clubhouse Hunt and Mickey Saves Santa, this one is immense and my 2 year faded son loves it. There are two other episodes on the DVD that we have seen on Playhouse Disney. There is the Dr. Daisy episode where Daisy tries to pick up her pretend dr. sticker and there is the Magician Goofy episode where the gang helps Goofy practice his magic tricks for the magic demonstrate. We’ve seen these several times before but my son calm loves to glance them. The Halloween episode is cute. I unprejudiced wish they would release more! If your cramped one is a Mickey Mouse lover then he/she will like this one as well, there is no doubt!!

To celebrate the upcoming Halloween season, Disney presents its third “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” DVD thus far: the eagerly anticipated “Mickey’s Treat.”

Buy,Download, Or Stream Mickey Mouse Clubhouse – Mickey’s Treat! Click Here

Suffice to say, this DVD is well worth the novel sale effect. In this DVD region, there are three ‘Mickey’ episodes: the title episode(with the standard 24-minute length), the previously seen “Goofy the Expansive” (Goofy ineptly performs magic tricks with Mickey’s assist), and “Dr. Daisy,” (the gang pretend to have boo-boo’s for pretend Dr. Daisy), with the bonus of a cute “Slight Einsteins” Halloween episode thrown in for added measure. Instead of a music video this time around, there are some kiddie cooking recipes and a CD-ROM interactive feature as the special extras.

In the salubrious title episode, Mickey & friends (Donald, Daisy, Minnie, Goofy & Pluto) are in costume for trick-or-treating at which time they are invited to abet troublesome pal Pete’s party. The episode subsquently shows the gang attempting to arrive in time the decorative Trick-or-Treat Tower for the party before the Tower’s gates lock per the magic Halloween moon (which acts as a clock of sorts) . As usual, Mickey’s mouseketools are needed for their hump, including an droll bit arrive the extinguish where Mickey displays his resourcefulness once again after Pete actually charges them ‘admission’ to his have party (even though no one else bothers to demonstrate up) .

Buy,Download, Or Stream Mickey Mouse Clubhouse – Mickey’s Treat! Click Here

Overall, I would rate the title episode as perhaps one of the finest so far in the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” series, in terms of wit, charm, and the implied message that sharing with others does matter (even at Halloween time) . The other two “Mickey” episodes and the “Slight Einsteins” Halloween episode are above average. While we would rate “Dr. Daisy” as probably the weakest of the bunch, it is serene better any time than having to endure an episode of “Spongebob Squarepants.” Further, let’s give Disney some well-deserved credit this time, unlike the previous “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” DVD’s, this DVD actually sticks to a generally consistent theme, and the presented episodes were composed relatively unique.

As parents, if you are not already familiar with “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” we also suggest checking out the regular program first on the Disney Channel to scrutinize if purchasing “Mickey’s Treat” is a shimmering choice for your family. Having watched this program regularly with our infant son for more than a year now, our engage on “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” is that it is a solid (and educationally honorable) program for the youngest children to understanding, in piece because it introduces various problem-solving skills (in the beget of ‘mouseketools’) .

Unlike many children’s shows floating around on television, the computer-animated “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” despite outward appearances, is not simply mindless entertainment. To its credit, the expose is designed for interactive participation (where the characters ask the viewers for abet) allowing youngsters to join in on the activities. Now, while the science depicted is not even remotely realistic at times (which the intended audience obviously isn’t going to care about), the show’s factual aim is to gather youngsters to engage the simplest concepts like counting numbers, reading alphabet letters, belief basic logic, being nice to others, etc. Frankly, considering other potential involving ‘role models’ provided for children today, Mickey Mouse level-headed remains a distinct influence you can trust. “Mickey’s Treat” exemplifies that trust.

At the time of this writing, the sale heed for the DVD is $14.99, which is an exceptional bargain. Paying bulky mark ($19.99, maybe more someday) for it might require some further plan, we consider. Unruffled, regardless of whatever the notice is, at least with “Mickey’s Treat,” unlike all the other Halloween goodies out there, you won’t have to disaster about your kids getting cavities from it.

“I Admire You, Beth Cooper” was a film that debuted support in the Summer of 2009 and is based on a 2007 unique by writer Larry Doyle (“The Simpsons”, “Beavis and Butthead”) . With a screenplay adaptation from the recent by Doyle, the film would be directed by Chris Columbus (“Mrs. Doubtfire”, the first two “Home Alone” and “Harry Potter” films), music collected by Christophe Beck (“The Pink Panther 2″, “We Are Marshall”, “Elektra”) and cinematography by Phil Abraham (“Furious Men”, “The Sopranos”) .

Larry Doyle has mentioned that his inspiration for the legend was films like “Sixteen Candles” and “The Breakfast Club” and his remove on graduation night and the adventures of five teenagers.

The film revolves around Denis Cooverman (played by Paul Rust, “Semi-Pro”, “Inglourious Basterds”), a valedictorian at his high school who is planning to go to college at Stanford University. A sparkling student, he has his life going for him. But if there was one thing that he regrets, it’s the fact that he has always had a crush on Beth Cooper.

He hangs out with his best friend Rich Munsch (played by Jack Carpenter, “The Return of Jezebel James”, “The Journal”) who gives him a pep talk that because it’s graduation day, if he has things to accept off his chest, let it out with no regrets. Content Beth Cooper how he feels and for Denis, this stays in his head but instead of telling her face-to-face, he figured why not narrate her on graduation day during his valedictorian speech.

As he gives his speech and talks about living life with no regrets, in front of everyone at the graduation, he tells the well-liked cheerleader Beth Cooper (played by Hayden Panettiere, “Heroes”, “Shanghai Kiss”, “Malcolm in the Middle”) that he loves her and how he has always loved her. But somehow along the procedure, his speech starts to go downhill as he takes a swipe on fellow students such as his his best friend, Rich (who he tries to give a hint that its time to approach out of the closet), a swipe at the school bully that has tormented him throughout their school years, a hint to the girls who has an eating disorder, a swipe that men shouldn’t be dating high school students (a dig at Beth Cooper’s boyfriend Kevin, who is played by Shawn Roberts) and a dig on a accepted but yet shallow student. Of course, no names are being said but high school students open to deem who may be the person Denis is referring to and thus changes the jovial graduation to a graduation plump of discomfort and confusion. Needless to say, students who believe Denis was talking about them, give him the study of death after the graduation day.

Denis doesn’t realize the severity of what he has done but for Beth Cooper, she was very considerable appreciative of what he had to say, although her military boyfriend Kevin is not and really wants to beat Denis up.

Fortunately, this causes problems between Beth and Kevin and determined enough, Denis is able to win her to possibly advance to party he is hosting at his house.

Since Denis and Rich are not exactly common students and very noteworthy are nerds, his parents (played by Alan Ruck and Cynthia Stevenson) leave the house for some R&R and hope their son has a gigantic party. Of course, during a man-to-man talk with Denis and his father, his father tells him and Rich that if needed, there are condoms in the drawer of his bedroom. Of course, Denis is satisfied his dad is giving his blessing to secure lucky tonight while Rich wonders if the condoms are meant to be outmoded on each other (furthering Denis’s feelings that his friend is delighted) .

So, while the two wonder if anyone is going to approach to their party, Beth Cooper and her two current cheerleading friends Cammy Alcott (played by Lauren London, “90210) and the bubbly yet not-so-smart Treece (played by Lauren Storm, “Flight 29 Down”, “The Game View”) near to the party. With no one else coming, both Denis and Rich try to entertain the ladies but meanwhile, Beth tries to produce her ex-boyfriend Kevin jealous by telling him that she’s spending her time with Denis.

Next thing you know, Beth’s ex-boyfriend Kevin and two of his military friends go to Denis’s home and so livid that his girlfriend is spending time at Denis’s house, they begin trashing the situation, while Kevin’s mission is to literally beat up on him.

Denis tries to fight and defend himself and of course, it leads to nothing and thus both he and Rich slay up escaping the house through the window and falling to the ground. After sustaining some injuries, the two manage to join Beth Cooper and friends on an adventurous graduation night which leads them to bare Beth’s unpleasant driving, buying beer at a convenience store, going to a farm to tip cows, going to a graduation night party where a lot of the high school kids are at and avoiding destruction on the roadway while trying to have a kindly graduation night and for the most allotment, to be out of the draw of Kevin and his friends.

But through the night, Denis who feels that he knows everything about Beth Cooper starts to ogle a side of her that he has never seen before. A reliable side but also a poor side.

Will Denis survive the night and will Beth Cooper find to know the right him?

VIDEO & AUDIO:

“I Care For You, Beth Cooper” is presented in 1080p High Definition (AVC@33MBPS) . For the most fragment, represent quality is glorious pleasurable as the film is featured in the sunlight. But the film delicate great takes station during the night. During the day, colors are vibrant, during the evening the blacks are nice and deep and I saw no visual artifacts or banding.

For the most section, the film looks very favorable. But to allege you the truth, I didn’t spy too many details that stood out. The truth is that there are not exactly a lot of memorable scenes as most of the action takes spot inside Denis’s home or inside Beth’s car. Seeing the scabs or blood all over Denis’s face is something I wasn’t really trying to stare for detail but if there was one scene that stood out, it was a breathtaking scene overlooking the lake and mountains approach the extinguish of the film. Recount quality is splendid for the film on HD.

As for the audio, audio is presented in English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio (also in Spanish, Portuguese and French 5.1 Dolby Digital) . The film is primarily a dialogue and music driven film and are front and center channel driven. There are some scenes that use the surrounds such as crowds heard or the various crashing of cars or during the more action-based scenes. Probably one scene where you glean the most action is when Beth Cooper literally crashes to a home where party is being held. But for the most allotment, the film is literally more about the dialogue and the music and the lossless audio definitely showcases the unusual music of this film.

Subtitles are featured in English SDH, Spanish, Portuguese and Cantonese.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

“I Like You, Beth Cooper” comes with the following special features:

* Alternate Ending – (6:59) An alternate ending which features Kevin and his friends making one more encounter with Denis. An ironic ending but personally, I’m gay that they didn’t expend this ending.

JUDGMENT CALL:

“I Worship You, Beth Cooper” was like a mashup of my celebrated teen/young adult films that I have enjoyed in the past and point to. A itsy-bitsy bit of “Sixteen Candles”, “The Breakfast Club”, “Say Anything”, “American Pie”, “Superbad”, “Go”, “Reduce and Norah’s Playlist” to name a few. With each of those films, there is a sort of redemption with the characters or some type of elated ending. I utter you can say that with this film, “I Adore You, Beth Cooper”, it’s more like a one night stand that really doesn’t go anywhere after that. I couldn’t support but feel that perhaps there were major differences between the fresh and the film version.

As for the main characters, it’s not that they are unlikeable but Denis and Rich are your stereotypical nerds and with this storyline, you sort of contemplate that this film would predictable in that the nerd gets the hot girl at the extinguish or meets some success, whether redemption against the bully or possibly even getting a fresh girlfriend.

If anything, for most teen films or similar style of films, the main nerd characters always gets the better demolish of the deal at the slay of the film but in this case, I felt that redemption was given to the Denis’s best friend Rich (who is fair a supporting character) and he gets to have all the fun at the ruin and somehow, that unprejudiced didn’t seem proper to me. Somehow the main character, Denis Cooverman gets lots in the bolt and by watching this film, you can’t aid but feel sorry for him. He literally becomes the human punching bag and you wish for that “3:00 High” moment of redemption of where he would defend himself. It’s vital to tag that there is an alternate ending included on the Blu-ray via the special features where Denis does come by that redemption but unfortunately, the final gash chose not to go that direction.

“I Appreciate You, Beth Cooper” is not a dreadful film nor is it a spectacular teen film. But I’ll admit, I did relish it. I enjoyed the nightly adventures by the five characters (granted, it helps if you had a wild experience during your graduation night) and the crazy adventures they endured throughout the day and night. There are some comedic moments courtesy of the character of Rich and Treece.

And fortunately there are some gleaming moments with Paul Rust as the main character of Denis. If anything, he is a splendid hearted guy. Nerdy..but a good-hearted guy who is not all that top-notch with talking to girls. Rust captures that feel of the character and that awkward nerdiness. Hayden Panettiere is very superior at playing the celebrated cheerleader who likes to have fun and party but also likes to have some disaster in her life (sounds similar to her “Heroes” counterpart but really, it’s not) . And it was ample to peep Alan Ruck as Denis’s father in the film, 23-years later after taking portion in his absorb successful, teen adventure film as the best friend in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”.

But it’s that one scene that was changed in the film from the unique (the convenience store scene) between Denis and Beth Cooper that was so necessary but in order to not win the R rating and hold it at PG-13, I felt would have really made sense to the audience of why Rust’s character starts to gaze things differently with Beth Cooper. In my conception, that was one scene indispensable to the modern that brings a turning point to the storyline. So, it’s sorrowful that version of that one scene was not ragged.

Overall, “I Fancy You, Beth Cooper” is an titillating teenage graduation night film but nowhere arrive being classic.

At the demolish of the day, you can glimpse how Chris Columbus and even Larry Doyle tried to bring that John Hughes style to the film. But Hughes was a master in character development and knew how to acquire those characters to the craziest and more touching moments of the film. We glimpse the adventure, we honest don’t feel captivated by the characters. Again, the film has its portion of fun moments but it’s the final payoff that you put a question to from these type of films is what is lacking from “I Treasure You, Beth Cooper”. In the ruin, “I Cherish You, Beth Cooper” is a fun popcorn flick but nothing more than that.

I sat through this whole film unprejudiced for the sake of making definite this Blu was all I was really seeing and hearing – and it blows me away that Fox made such a vast product on a subpar movie like this. The Blu clarity was outstanding throughout; night sequences, colors, saturation, action, landscapes – all of it. The DTS was great; the music was mixed perfect as to mild hear the simultaneous dialogues perfectly and the outer channels gather frail quite a bit. The supplements are extensive and include:

(HI-DEF)

* 7 miniature alternate ending. It branches off from the dock scene approach the demolish of the theatrical sever and takes a plot different slant with the three muscle heads imposing on their lake station with strange results. You do not observe any of the parent-in-the-yard ending.

* 7:36 minutes of deleted scenes with a play all option. Forgettable, cheerful they were prick.

* 5:54 minutes of Appreciate U Larry Doyle. The inspiration slow the memoir and interviews with the author.

* 8:54 shrimp We’re All Different lumber. Essentially the casting reasons, how everyone liked their parts, blah, blah, blah.

* 2:48 itsy-bitsy Peanut Butter Toast. A home video clip of Rust singing about making toast in his kitchen – painful.

(LO-DEF)

* 3:02 runt Fox interview with Paul Rust. An ad swagger for the film with an interview.

* 3:02 puny Fox interview with Hayden. Same thing.

The only thing I got out of this was all the movie trivia his sidekick kept spewing, liked it. Otherwise this whole corny epic of the nerd getting the hot chick through a million unlikely events, road trips and unpleasant acting didn’t work for me. I am obvious this will appeal to the teen fans of Hayden and some of the other scrutinize candy followers (Shawn Roberts, etc.) But, I have to rate this higher overall because the Blu provides plenty of reference points for a film of this genre; both sound and pic clarity (especially those lake/mountain panorama scenes) . The supplements may be contrived but they are thorough – so 2 for the film, 1.5 for the Blu and .5 for the supps. Bask In.

I don’t often review products here, but when I encounter something great and eye that it has a fairly gross rating, I feel compelled to give it a kindly review to balance the scale. The only major complaint I’ve read in any review of VOTOMS is that the art and animation are terrible, and maybe the music is a bit cheesey. Those aspects of any point to are so relative, though, that I cannot fault the expose for that. For example, many anime fans today would suggest shows like Bulky Metal Alchemist as an example of “respectable” art and animation, but, to me, that newer style is unbiased so wearisome and cookie-cutter. I rob art and animation that is a bit off and different, and if you are like me, and you’re tired of the same-old that it seems noteworthy of the recent anime employs, then a puny retro action may be factual up your alley, which means VOTOMS’ art and animation is honest pleasing. At any rate, regardless of the art and animation, the seriousness of the memoir is what really keep the hook in me for VOTOMS. Judge Macross and Gundam, but without pop star girlfriends or conflicted teenagers coming of age. This is a record about adults in an adult world who aren’t conflicted at all about killing people who come by in their plan. Tired, maybe, and world-weary, and even a bit cynical, but not conflicted. And this is also a chronicle about squat, mass produced, gruesome mecha that don’t explore all shiney and luminous or skim around defying the laws of physics or transform into icy fighter jets or whip out light sabers on each other. These mecha are fighting machines, period, that give, and buy, serious afflict the musty fashioned plot, blasting each other with guns and missiles or pounding each other with their fists, and that wreck down and hasten out of ammo and do everything you would consider a machine of war would do. If all of this gets your blood pumping and mind racing with possibilities, then maybe, unbiased maybe, VOTOMS is for you.

Sick of cowardly 14 year worn mech pilots? Sick of gorgeous people saving the world? Sick of seemingly invincible mechs decked out with dragon parts? Don’t net me deplorable this explain isn’t the most approved animes out there but what is? This display is very gritty with our heroes are fighting not to set the world (yet again) but for their very survival. The mecha in this anime is what inspired the Heavy Gear computer games. Our hero is an 18 year broken-down mech pilot that know hows to fight and doesn’t do dopey stuff. The mechanical designs are genuine, they are very realistic and tank like, using mainly projectile weaponry so if you like Zakus you will like Scopedogs since they are both designed by the same person. This note isn’t dreary with half of each episode devoted to violent combat. Armored Trooper VOTOMS only flaw is it’s mature and the animation and music are dated, but for 14 episodes a pop it shouldn’t be missed.
