There are actually two versions of this film. One was shown on the Discovery Channel with about 5 minutes or so slit from it and with a different narrator and this one. Of the two, this one is a bit better. The DVD says it has a “making of” fragment and it does but this portion is quite lacking. It is like they slapped it together.
Historical points. Overall they were quite kindly in their presentation but they made a few errors. One of which was saying “Egypt had no need of slaves.” This is absolutely historically fraudulent. Egypt had slaves like every nation in the site. Their slaves, though, would not have built the pyramids or holy places. They were doing other tasks. Also their portrayal of the copper smithing is off. A book called “Technology in the Worn World” does a better job of describing metal working/discovery in detail.
Outside of these minor points, the narrative is animated. It follows the life of one man from anonymous villager to a foreman over a work gang on the stout pyramid. Some of the shots are quite shapely and the reconstructions are well made. The actors, overall, did a favorable job. They didn’t overdo their roles nor inspect like stiffs. This is a substantial DVD for people who are casually alive to in veteran Egypt or for classroom activities.
i don’t know who wrote the review giving this demonstrate 1 star … Watching it i was unbiased satisfied to spy someone trying to visualise Used Egypt rather than go through the various (constantly repeated) mysterious, multi-million dollar book selling,… (atlantean) theories. It seemed to be based on the latest used archaeology and gave a immense understanding of how the workers would have lived and the pyramid erected. A visual treat region against a plethora of acedemic documentaries that abound in this field.

Going into this film you should know that “Hostage” is an over the top sort of film. Based on the modern of the same name by Robert Crais, this 2005 release finds that one hostage drama is not enough, there needs to be two hostage dramas going on at the same time honest to gain things even more complicated. Then it decides that the hero should be burdened with guilt over a previous hostage space that goes imperfect. On the one hand this makes the scenario handsome extraordinary, but on the other hand you come by to the point where you are wondering how they are going to fetch to the requisite joyful ending so you will be hard pressed to call “Hostage” predictable. That being the greatest Hollywood sin, I am willing to forgive this film its faults.

The prologue finds Jeff Talley (Bruce Willis), with long hair and a long beard, dealing with a hostage site in L.A. His goal is to fabricate distinct that nobody dies that die, but that does not happen. A year later Talley is the chief of police in Bristo Camino in Ventura County. His wife (Serena Scott Thomas) and daughter (Rumer Willis) are unruffled living in the city and reach out to visit on weekends. The daughter is not speaking to her father, apparently terrorized her parents are going to score divorced and unable to understand why daddy wants the relative peace and unexcited of the sticks. But like Willis’ most notorious conceal incarnation, John McClane of the “Die Hard” flicks, the rule of irony applies and his biggest nightmare shows up in town.
Three young punks are sitting in a stolen pick-up truck ogling a young girl who flips them off before getting attend into her daddy’s SUV. They choose to follow the family home and when they glance a dazzling home nestled in the hills outside of town they settle to crash in and push the family around. The thing we know somebody is boring and Talley arrives on the scene to be greeted by a hail of bullets. The Smith family ends up being held hostage by these three punks and when the County Sheriff shows up Talley is perfectly glad to turn over explain and coast away. However, there is an involved third party to the hostage state who insists that Talley resume squawk and do everything in his power, not to acquire certain that everybody gets out alive, but that a definite computer disc is retrieved.

Again, this is a totally extraordinary residence, but it is not stupid. You either assume into the scenario and go along for the slump or you do not. My only quiz is whether the red herring I picked up on to no grand destroy whatsoever was intentional or an uncorrupted mistook. That and why the title credits view like a dry hurry for “Sin City” and also have no discernable payoff in the film. The most spirited character in the film ends up being Mars (Ben Foster), the trigger glad one of the punks who had be stupefied because I kept thinking at some point he would realize that the young girl he was holding hostage (Michelle Horn) was going to be the last female he was going to be come for the rest of his life. Earlier in the film her father (Kevin Pollak) tried to dissuade her from dressing like a tramp. Being eyeballed by punks with guns certainly seems to suggest that she might reconsider her clothing choices in the future (especially in terms of any words that might appear on her shirts) .
Director Florent Siri comes up with some captivating camera shots and even managed to imprint me with a listless motion shot (I have been wincing at those delicate mighty since I saw the destroy of “Rocky II”) . If anything, Siri is tantalizing by the cinematic style of violence he can depict and if you are looking for an action film with flair this might fit the bill. The only one liner Willis’ character has in the film is an echo of something unbiased said by one of the terrible guys and most of the key moments for his character are inarticulate looks of awe, rage, and despair. That is why I opinion the two hostage situations were motivation enough without needing to resort to the one that went immoral. The destroy game of “Hostage” requires a couple of reverses to back things along, but I actually found it quite keen to suddenly be rooting for a character that I was hoping to ogle unimaginative and although I did figure out the finale surprise twist it was not telegraphed that far in reach, so I was more blissful with myself than disappointed in the film.
Another black drama that makes no pretense
Of having a plotline that makes any sense
With two hostage stories, it’s double the action
Depending on violence to win your reaction
Bruce Willis does “anxiety”, the thing he does best
But the acting shouts “B” for most of the rest
He once lost a hostage and retired from the fray
Preferring to sit at his desk every day
But as fate would have it, some punks immoral his path
And it blows up accurate hastily when a cop feels their wrath
They absorb the Smiths hostage, the panic system sucks
The stakes find powerful higher when they gather some tall bucks
And wouldn’t you know it, the Dad is a crook
By creative accounting, not quite by the book
He’s hidden some files under “Heaven Can Wait”
And organized crime is now storming the gate
The punks are in shambles, they’re out of their league
They’re making mistakes out of greed and fatigue
But Bruce has no choice, he can’t build it aside
His wife and his daughter are kidnapped and tied
The ending’s predictable, violent and gory
A typical, everyday action-man story
With fiery effects and tedious motion also
As a rental, this movie is packaged to go.

I am a thoughtful person with a deep interest in unusual science. At the same time I adore art, especially Dali’s.
I often ask myself “What is this enormous artist trying to lisp me? What possessed him to build these perplexing yet exhilarating images? ”

I was overjoyed to gape that this DVD “The Dali Dimension” definitively answers these questions that burn inside me. Its subtitle “Decoding the Mind of a Genius” told me exactly what this fantastic film actually did for me.
I learned that throughout his life Dali was caught up in the most advanced shining developments of his age. In the gradual 1920’s and 1930’s his passion to obtain the higher view that I myself watch made him behold psychoanalysis, the most revolutionary and liberating development of those decades.
As this DVD points out he even gained an audience with Sigmund Freud, the father and high priest of psychoanalysis. That Viennese genius recognized the artist as a quintessential Spaniard as well as a fanatic. Indeed Dali was a fanatic, as I hope I am, when it comes to the gaining of wisdom and tp immersing myself in the highest of high art!
By the 1940’s, after the detonation of the atomic bomb, Dali transferred his radiant allegiance from Freud to Einstein, Shroedinger, and Heisenberg. He came to ogle mathematics, nuclear and quantum physics as the gateways to our lustrous salvation — with Dali himself as our artistic Savior.
What blew me away about “he Dali Dimension” was its showing exactly how Dali, one of the greatest original artists, translated the most well-known scientific principles of our age into dazzlingly comely artistic images. Presenting painting after painting the film’s expert narration introduced me to numerous geometric forms such as the tetrahedron which Dali had precisely depicted in order to uplift our intellects into the stratosphere of higher thought.
I was especially struck by the narration here. This is provided by the film’s star, Joseph Nuzzolo. His commentary is ultra accessible. It provides nothing less than oversight to the whole DVD, particularly to its dramatic nuances and keeps the film intelligent at a brisk and wonderfully compelling plug.
I found that another entertaining aspect of the DVD is its using the artist himself as well as celebrated scientists such as James Watson, a friend of Dali’s and co-discoverer of DNA, and preeminent art scholars like Dawn Ades, the world’s leading academic expert on Dali, to assist us understand and bask in the dozens of paintings presented. Seeing so many Dali masterpieces at one time is in itself a transforming and uplifting experience.
I can only say that anyone who has an interest in Dali, fresh art or 20th Century science –and even life– owes it to him- or herself to peer this DVD. I have no doubt that if he’d live to peruse it, Dali himself would have loved “The Dali Dimension.”
This is truly a grand film that reveals so grand about the genius of Salvador Dali. It introduces us to concepts that calm the thinking and art of this grand man.
While he was well-read, his gigantic knowledge of science and the working of the human mind was mainly intuitive, allowing him to accomplish work never before seen by his critics. It was the inability of his contemporary art critics and historians to comprehend the meaning and importance of Dali’s art that led them, in self-defense, to believe him to be an irreverent fool or buffoon.
This critical documentary should assist effect Dali’s accurate contribution to art history, as we can better contemplate his genius today, than could his contemporary critics.

August 18th, 2010 — Rock Star Tagged Download Rock Star Online, Rock Star, Rock Star Streaming, Stream Rock Star, Watch Rock Star Online
First of all let me begin off by saying that although Rock star didn’t do very well at the box office, I conception it was a lot of fun and it made for an palatable hour and three quarters viewing. Loosely based on the life of Tim `Ripper’ Owens, the office supplies salesman who replaced Retract Halford in Judas Priest, Rock Star combines satire, morality, romance and a satisfactory former fashioned rags to riches storyline.
So what’s the location? Salesman and ordinary working stiff Chris Cole (Effect Wahlberg) and wannabe rock star has been obsessed for years in his devotion to British heavy metal band Steel Dragon. As fragment of a tribute band, he is derided by his older brother who feels he should pick up a valid job and his devotion to mimicry is so powerful that even his fellow tribute band members are sick of him, and they eventually dump him. Comforted by his patient and devoted girlfriend (Jennifer Anniston) Chris swears that he will point to them all noxious but he even he is terrorized when he is invited to audition as the replacement singer in the band he adores. Of course he wins the gig and so begins a stir through the world of a rock idol, elephantine of drugs, groupies, drink and general excessive behaviour.
I’m not quite definite why this movie wasn’t that successful. Definite it’s not the greatest movie you will ever witness and it offers no modern insight but there’s also very microscopic to abhor about it. Critics may complain that it’s neither tubby on satire such as `This Is Spinal Tap’ or that it is elephantine of clichés but this is a movie that doesn’t choose itself too seriously and does not try to picture reality. Brand Wahlberg is perfectly cast as Chris Cole and Jennifer Anniston gives a very resplendent and likeable performance as Chris’s proper girlfriend, whilst some of the supporting turns (particularly from Timothy Spall as the seen it all before manager) are fine too. Stephen Herek’s direction is perfectly paced and unlike most fresh movies it is not overlong and it feels shorter than it actually is. It has some truly marvelous moments and you could do considerable worse than to check this out on a Saturday night.
For what it’s worth, “Rock Star” is an delicious fantasy account about an aspiring musician who makes it to the ample time, only to realize that it’s not all about sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll. Definite, the conception is surely not recent, and the lack of purpose that plagues the movie keeps it from truly soaring. But despite its flaws, it manages to entertain through its colorful cast, fabulous execution, and delectable sense of humor.

Carrying the lightweight myth on his shoulders like a guitar case fleshy of memories is young Chris Cole (Impress Wahlberg), a twenty-something grunge rocker who composed lives with his parents, and gets his jollies by recreating the sense of excitement an audience gets from attending a Steel Dragon concert. Insisting that his band is a “tribute band” rather than a screen band, Chris idolizes the band, particularly the lead singer, Bobby Beers, whom he looks, sounds, and acts like on stage.
With the relieve of his mother and father, as well as his longtime girlfriend Emily (Jennifer Aniston), Chris finds comfort in his fanaticism, perhaps too worthy comfort. His drive to recreate each song specifically and correctly makes him overbearing in the eyes of his band members, who, after an on-stage brawl, determine it’s time for Chris to crawl.
In any other movie, this would be the complete myth, ending with reflections by each of the characters on how their experiences together shaped the rest of their lives. But in the world of “Rock Star,” this is only the beginning. Unprejudiced when Chris begins to give up his dreams, he gets a call from none other than Kirk Cuddy, one of Steel Dragon’s guitarists, offering him a chance to audition as the recent lead singer. He heartily accepts, flies out with Emily to meet the band and begins to rep into the life of a rock star, all the while paying exiguous peek to his past life, which slips away more and more each day.

This cautionary turn of events that start to cloud the jubilance of Chris’s lifestyle is a famed tactic customary by many other films that believe the routine grass-isn’t-always-greener-on-the-other-side warning. The film shows us both the glamour and the depression of this lifestyle, from the excessive drinking and parties where Chris is surrounded by adoring female fans, to a scene in which Emily is told by the wife of another band member that since Chris is a rock star, “the normal rules don’t apply.” At times, however, I got the feeling that the movie is warning against the rock-and-roll design of life it has been embracing all along.
So what is the film’s spot? Neither, really; its inability to buy a stand for or against this lifestyle is bothersome only if you allow it to be. If you can do this inconsistency aside, you’ll fetch that there’s a whole lot of fun to be had with the movie. Some impressive work is done in creating a fictional 80’s rock band, complete with long, tossed hair and mascara during performances, screaming guitars and singing that resembles a screeching tire. It may not be as authentic a recreation as, say, the era of “Almost Famed,” but it gets the job done with fashionable results.
Mark Wahlberg has always been a versatile actor, and proves his worth with this role. As Chris, he manages to convincingly segue from a controlling perfectionist obsessed with precisely recreating Steel Dragon, to a tale at the top of his game and the bottom of his personal life. It’s nothing stellar, but he carries it so well, with all the brazen charm of an 80’s rock idol/sex symbol. Of the band members, Timothy Spall’s character is the most memorable, a funny mix of wit and longing for the stability of his past. Jennifer Aniston practically steals every scene she walks through, crossing moments of right emotion with some of the film’s funniest one-liners. At one point, a groupie begins talking about G-strings gaining more respect for exotic dancers, to which Aniston replies, “Nothing says ‘respect’ like cramming a strip of Lycra factual up your a–.”
There’s an air of familiarity that hangs over the movie that is hard to ignore, but what keeps it from becoming too formulaic are its incredible cast, its comedic wit, and its arresting premise. There’s nothing totally hardcore about it, but it hardly matters, since we already know this is going to be an uplifting movie rather than a downbeat adventure of self-discovery. As a cautionary fantasy, “Rock Star” is too routine to remain with one for long, but while you’re there, it’s quite an experience.

I am not doing this review based on the Disney release, but on the unique Japanese release. This charming dinky epic is a product of Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli, but it is directed by Miyazaki’s associate, Hiroyuki Morita. It is actually a sequel to the safe and equally charming Negate of the Heart, another ravishing though very low-key Ghibli product. The unfamiliar thing is that Order of the Heart has never been released in the U.S.; releasing the sequel before the current is a bit unfamiliar.

That being said, a wealth of details about the films (and everything from Studio Ghibli) can be found on the tremendously informative nausicaa.collect Web residence. Since this film is being released with Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind and Porco Rosso on February 22, it can only be hoped that it will slip somewhat on the coattails of the two better-known Miyazaki works and will have decent sales. It’s an well-behaved family film and is a refreshing change (like all of Ghibli’s works) from giant robots, ninjas, vampires, brainless lowbrow comedy mixed with mindless violence, and the other junk that pervades map too considerable of contemporary anime releases.
Let me open off this review by saying the movie itself is a five star treat. I rented, after being on a Miyazaki and Ghibli fling, wanting to scrutinize all this Japanese studio had to offer. This one blew me away. It made me renew my cherish for cats, and I know this is one that my best friend, a feline fanatic himself, will probably be proudly displaying next to his What’s Michael? japanese comics. Something the collective asian conscience gives them an affinity for cats, and it helps this movie shine. Anyone who has kids or cat lovers will relish this chronicle, but some may be a miniature lost. There was a movie before this one called Enlighten of The Heart, not translated into english, but it isn’t the same storyline, unprejudiced the same characters, so you wont be missing any info, unprejudiced dealing with a colossal status. Its worth investing in though.
WARNING!: Long Status Ahead! (You should probably unprejudiced skip to the ruin and then contemplate the movie, but it’s here for the confused)

School girl Haru has problems. She can’t seem to regain up on time, perform it school, or support it together in class. She has a crush on the coolest kid in class, but he objective got a girlfriend. Her self love is diagram down. On her scheme home from school, her and her friend sight a cat with a gold chain carrying a package. They scrutinize it view both ways, and putrid the street. It’s carrying a exiguous package in its mouth, and trips in the street, dropping the microscopic package. They gasp, and Haru rushes into the street. As a truck is about to squish the minute cat, she scoops him up with her lacrosse stick (carried home from school) and sweeps him into a bush. Upon landing in the bush alongside, she breaks her stick. The cat gets up, and then stands on it’s hindlegs. After brushing himself off, he bows and says ‘Thank you for saving my life. I will repay you.’ and skitters off. Haru thinks she’s crazy. When she tells her mom she replies that she has said the same thing before, that she could talk to cats when she was microscopic. She shrugs it off, and heads to bed. In the night, however, the King of Cats and a procession of cats (including the most hilarious sad cats, who have a suit-and-tie pattern in their fur, and are the kings secret service) and gallop up to her door. She has snuck down to peruse the commotion, and the steward for the king speaks. He tells her that the cat she saved was Prince of the Cat Kingdom, and they would repay her starting the next day, handing her a list of the gifts. She sleeps and wakes, thinking it’s a dream. But, the scroll remains, and the things originate happening from the scroll (a hilarious scene where her friend is at school, knee deep in lacrosse sticks had me laughing for about five minutes) . Soon, she is overwhelmed by it all, and the last gift is revealed. She must marry the prince, and go to the cat kingdom to live in their palace! Distraught, she is told by a mysterious divulge to gain a vast white cat, and he will lead her to the Cat Bureau. Once found, broad cat Muta leads her to a miniature town, with a puny cat. This is the cat pictured on the box. He introduces himself as Baron von Gikkingen, but The Baron works blooming.(because his creator gave him a ridiculous name) . A crow statue named Toto comes to life and Haru finds out that Baron and Toto were both given souls because their creators loved them so great, and started the Buearu with refugee Muta. With that, The Baron agrees to relieve Haru and visit the Cat Kingdom to talk sense into them. Fair in time, because the cat vanguard arrives to catch her away. The Bureau pursues, and Muta and Haru are whisked away, with The Baron and Toto in hot pursuit.
Whew.
Anyway, this movie is by director Hiroyuki Morita, his first head directing credit. Most other Ghibli movies had been done by Miyazaki or Takahata, with the major exceotion of ‘Whisper of the Heart’, a detailed recount about a young writer who meets the Baron and he inspires her. Miyazaki wrote it and boarded it, then passed it to Yoshifumi Kondo, who died tragically after the release. So, Miyazaki passed this project (the ’sequel’) to Morita. Many on the review boards don’t like his style. I judge it’s large, a soft and more current advance for the narrative of a soft and unusual girl thrown into a fantasy world. It’s quiet pretty and has ample art direction throughout. The cats are well done, making me marvel at how they captured so many nuances. In unbiased an hour and almost a half, Morita tells his five hundred page storyboard, with 900 lines of dialouge. And it never gets dull, kids wont be dulled by the dialouge and they’ll learn a lesson (it’s not fair about believing in yourself, it’s about loving who you are)
The quality of the video is sizable, not the best of the disney transfers, but its soft lensed search for adds instead of subtracts from the epic, and the audio is incredible. The bag is special, as it contains a complete orchestra, something that Ghibli hadn’t done before. The theme song is also original, as its theme was done by an artist Ayano Tsuji, with honest her unbelievable vocals and a Ukelaili. All of the info on the audio and art can be seen on the Making of featurette.
Speaking of:
There is a Leisurely The Microphone featurette, covering the sigh cast of the american dubbing. This features stars such as Cary Elwes as the Baron (from Princess Bride), Anne Hathaway as Haru (from the Princess Diaries), Peter Boyle as Muta (the dad from everybody loves raymond), Tim Curry as the King of Cats (from lots of movies) and Andy Richter as Natoru, secretary to the king (from… no one remembers his present) . Next is an in depth Making Of featurette, that covers the unique, the process of making the movie, scoring it and promoting it. Last, the second disc, which features a Complete Storyboard. It’s unbiased the audio from the movie situation to these storyboards. It’s a treat for art students and superfans, casual observers and families will pass this disc by.
Overall, a fabulous movie, with a stout and deep dwelling, proving that Ghibli has a gleaming future even after Takahata and Miyazaki aren’t directing their features. Compassionate, creative and cold, Cat lovers and families need this movie!

I came across this note during my first semester of college, where one of my courses was Anthropology of Religion, where we studied religious traditions in various cultural contexts. I was very tickled to recognize some of the topics we had covered in class featured in Taboo, as the footage brought a whole unusual level of belief to the information presented in class. When I found the first season available, I snatched it up immediately.

What I like about the series so powerful is that it gives people a chance to understand the differences between cultures and people, but also the similarities; that we aren’t that different from each other. I would warn that in order to catch the most out of this exhibit, it must be watched with an commence mind. The first time I watched all the episodes, there were some things that skittish me. But I don’t beget the acts shown on this collection are “sick” or “snide”. They are integral facets of various cultures around the world. And while many of the episodes focus on cultural practices in parts of the world other than the United States, there are several that select area in several states in the US.
The topic of the 13 episodes included are: Tattoo, Witchcraft, Healers, Drugs, Food, Bloodsports, Voodoo, Marriage, Death, Sexuality, Tests of Faith, Rites of Passage, and Disagreeable Spirits.
This colossal series from National Geographic examines numerous practices that many people in the West would believe taboo, unprejudiced because they’re so radically different from our design of life. It forces the viewer to confront one’s contain taboos, and hopefully one will approach away with a more inaugurate mind and more educated about and idea of different cultures and customs. Disc one contains the episodes “Drugs,” “Healers,” “Food,” and “Bloodsports”; disc two contains “Wrong Spirits,” “Voodoo,” “Marriage,” and “Witchcraft”; disc three contains “Sexuality,” “Death,” and “Rites of Passage”; and disc four contains “Tests of Faith” and “Tattoo.” The series takes the viewer to such far-ranging locales as Malaysian Borneo, Benin, Togo, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mexico, Japan, India, Greece, Norway, Holland, Venezuela, Haiti, the Philippines, Thailand, and various places in the United States. Not for the easily-offended, accurate absolutists who notice the world only in dismal and white and feel that only their plan is moral, or the squeamish, it presents these stories (three per episode) in the context of culture, religion, history, and geography and shows that what we deem taboo is not only perfectly normal but unthinkable to not do for a person in a area like Thailand, South Africa, or Mexico. As an animal-lover, some of these segments were rather hard to study, but I had to consume into consideration that this is normal behavior in other cultures, and that many things which Westerners do, such as sending the elderly into homes, putting little children into daycare, pampering and shielding children incessantly, and not showing a lot of reverence for elders and ancestral spirits, would be considered taboo and unacceptable to them.

Among the thought-provoking questions it raises are:
Would you let your underage child be married?
Would you drink your believe urine?
Would you let your diminutive child have his or her face ritually scarred?
Would you club to death and then eat your occupy beloved pet dog?
Would you have yourself crucified or wobble across coals in the name of faith?
Would you be willing to revise your Western-centric notions of what the major world religions are to include Voodoo, animism, and witchcraft?
Would you choose in a bloody brawl with your neighbors to ensure a gracious harvest?
Would you rip apart a live guinea pig and burn a llama fetus as fragment of a healing ceremony?
Would you drink the blood of a cobra and eat its meat?
The fourth disc includes the bonus features of an exotic menu, a report gallery, trailers for recommended programs, and commercials for National Geographic itself. All in all, it’s a must-see series for those involved in world cultures and shattering the plan that there’s only one correct and acceptable blueprint to behave, the Western diagram, with anything else disturbing, defective, and immoral. A series like this can only be for the sterling, what with building bridges of view, tolerance, and acceptance across cultural divides.

I have been a fan of Transformers since G1 and my interest in them seriously declined with the advent of the third and fourth season as well as the Pretender toy line… My interest because almost automatically peeked with the birth of the Beast Wars because I felt that the Beast Wars addressed many of the problems which the third and fourth seasons suffered from… (1) Too many characters, the Beast Wars had many characters but not so many which prevented beneficial character development of each major player. You felt like you really knew the characters by the time the series wrapped itself up(2) An underlying space even bigger than the Beast Wars, something not really dealt with in G1 until the appearance of Unicron in the movie, in Beast Wars it was the Vox who controlled the planet before the arrival of the Transformers and I idea they did an qualified job of tying this series to the G1 series. (3) A credible villian leader, boy did I miss Megatron after he was converted to Galvatron, the insane tyrant thing got traditional very rapid and the Beast Wars Megatron was the same clever, sly villian the unusual Megatron was. (4) It had a PLANNED ending, unlike G1 which sort of obsolete into an ending instead. The last season was my accepted because so great took spot and I happened to like the transition to Beast Machines, the following season. I also hope that they will release Beast Machines into DVD like they did the Beast Wars. In my concept, these two combined series had some of the best space writing I had the pleasure of watching since the whole thing began in 1984.
Third season continued the beast wars at a frenetic roam. Almost to fleet at times. The episodes are comely. The animation is peaceful and looks natural. The writing however becomes forced as more and more characters are introduced. Now I like the introduction of Depth Charge, however his apearance streaches the credibility of season two. After all the Maximals are trapped in the past and have had two attempts at rescue. Once by a probe in season 1 and once by Ravage in season two. As such only the predacons know about the maximals being traped in earth in the past. Then along comes depth charge, the law man, a maximal. If he could have found them, anybody could have.

This season has more tongue in cheek comedy than the previous two seasons before it but the jokes are interesting and all but attack Hasbro and the toy company that is sponsoring them. Example: Rat Trap’s coment on Optimus changing bodies frequently is a thunder attack on the fact that Hasbro place out several beast wars Optimus Primals during the point to and forced the T.V. series to integrate the fresh toys.
Final coments. I enjoyed the series becasue it dealt with war in a moral to life context. People do not always hit their target. People accelerate out of amunition. People bag wound and in war people die. The fact that only 7 Transformers survive all three seasons (out of 25 transformers) is impartial fabulous and shows what a high mortality rate the indicate had.
Thoughts on the “Transformer Religion” that was brought into play during the third season. I’m peaceful undecided. It was well written but I’m not clear if it had a set in the exhibit. After all religion is a very controversial subject these days and has ended more than one transformer series in the past.

I treasure Dana Carvey! I objective finished watching this on HBO tonight. He is wonderful at vocal impersonations and in this expose he runs through most of the major political figures of novel events: Bill and Hillary, Obama, Arnold, Al Gore and others. Even his parents aren’t suitable. I laughed so hard! A must study and a must choose. This DVD can’t arrive out soon enough for me!
I’ve been following Dana Carvey since I was about eight years conventional. I am 19 now and I collected cherish him. I watched him on SNL and unprejudiced bought the Squatting Monkeys deny no lies and I savor it! It includes his critics choice special from 95 which is the first time that I ever saw him do stand up. That includes the piano and guitar humor. This is a must retract for anyone who loves a laugh. He is truly a droll genious and I hope he has a few more specials before he retires.

Apart from the camouflage, there isn’t that noteworthy special about this shrimp edition. No audio commentary is my sizable complaint. However, the Batman Unmasked featurette is an unexpected pleasure, as it psychoanalyzes Batman in all his incarnations. I suspect there’s another exiguous edition coming with more bells and whistles. Me, I bought this because I loved the movie and this location cost as noteworthy as the regular two-DVD edition.
we all wear masks for one reason or another. this chilly disc-mask thing is nice. i understanding it would raze the discs……since many of these type of designs usually do…..but it doesn’t. and if you want the movie on your ipod…..it has a disc for that too.

When I bought the first DVD of “Kaze no Yojimbo”, I wasn’t quite distinct what I was getting myself into. Finishing the last one, I do now. Kaze no Yojimbo is simply one of the best animes I’ve ever seen, and trust me, I’ve seen quite a few. It also boasts one of the best last two episodes of a series I’ve seen in a long time. It has a bit of a accurate world feel to it, not forcing George (the main character) into an unrealistic relationship with a 17 or 18 year ragged girl that falls in fancy with him (George is probably around 25 or a bit less), and the result is truly heartwrenching. Also, don’t miss some awesome action seens, especially the stutter seen in the second-to-last episode. Overall, 5 stars.
